Lakewood Golf Club is also part of Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail and offers two 18 hole golf courses. Located in Point Clear, Alabama, which is about 1 hour and 20 minute drive from the house.
Pelican Bay Landing is a great place to stay for those golfers (and other family members) who also enjoy the beach and the beauty of such a unique place as Dauphin Island.

The battleship USS Alabama is docked here in Mobile Bay at Battleship Memorial Park. It is located just minutes from downtown Mobile. In addition to being able to walk the decks of this historic battleship, you'll also be able to tour the submarine USS Drum and see other military watercraft and aircraft.

Bayou La Batre, Alabama
Bayou La Batre is home to hundreds of shrimping and fishing boats and numerous seafood processing companies. It was featured in the hit movie "Forrest Gump."

There are about a dozen casinos in or nearby Biloxi, Mississippi which is only about an hour and a half drive from the house on Dauphin Island. There one can find 24 hour gaming as well as top restaurants and entertainment.
